Frontier Donates $10,000
Support Act is delighted to acknowledge a donation of $10,000 made by Frontier Touring. The funds have been earmarked to help road crew in crisis. Many would say that roadies have the hardest jobs in music: the hours are late and long, the physical demands take their toll and much of life is lived on the road. So it is perhaps no surprise that Support Act's second largest group of service users is roadies. Frontier's donation will be deployed to make a difference to the unsung heroes of music.
Michael Gudinski said “its with great pleasure that Frontier continues to be committed to support some of the hardest working people in the music business"
Ian Peel, of the Australian Road Crew Association said "ARCA is extremely thankful and buoyed by the recognition Michael and Frontier have given all crew by their generous donation."
Anyone wishing to donate to the roadies' fund may do so online at http://supportact.org.au/donate-now and selecting "ROADIES" in the donation field. All donations of $2 or more Into the Roadies Fund will receive a tax deductible receipt, issued by Support Act.
