Yeah mate, it's a mongrel. But the worst thing is once I get to hell I know I'll be the new boy again and end up doing stairs gigs for a few millenia. LOL!

G'day all,
Well after freaking the bejesus out of me, I finally talked to someone from NSW Health who talked to me straight up. The computer system actually worked after the third attempt to log in and I finally saw my xrays and full report. I DON"T have lung cancer!!! I do have industrial lung damage and ironically it isn't smoking related. I did make sure the xray was of me. I know the collarbones are different from rebuilds and could see the scoliosis clearly.Talk about mixed feelings. An amazing mixture of relief and anger that I had been not only freaked out myself but had started to give everyone my dead cat. FUCK! I don't even like cats. I am so sorry about this false alarm. Thanks all of you for your support and again my sincere apologies for the fuck around. This is not the first stuff up since 08 from NSW Health and I expect not the last.
One of the first things I was asked after starting to let people know was: "Does this mean the party is off?" That's my crew mates for ya! Well of course the answer is "Fuck No!, the gig goes on! and if I don't see you before I hope to catch up on April 30 at the Bald faced Stag.....Recko.

Well bugger me.

It seems the Last Set includes an encore...

I can only imagine the mixed feelings.

I know it's trite - but where there's life there's hope.

It just gets more bizarre. The quacks sent me to a lung clinic for a full assessment and a personalised gym program. They were nice people and very positive in their attitude. The only problem is that my body gives out before my lungs are working hard, they couldn't get their heads around it. So after the rehab mob refusing to listen to me for months I realised that if I refused to participate I can be cut off the pension. They weren't going to understand until they saw me crash and burn. I went to the gym at sutho hospital yesterday for my assessment. They were horrified when they realised that I was such a mess. They ended up stopping me doing things that I knew I could do because they were worried I would damage myself more. They were that freaked out that I now can't use the gym or pool at the hospital. Public liability I s'pose. And Recko goes back into the "Too Hard" basket yet again. The debate I had with them about pot was interesting. Of course they started on the lectures but they didn't get far. I pointed out that I had the accident nearly 30 years ago and after a year on painkillers, muscle relaxants and sleeping pills I was turning into a zombie. The quacks told me there was nothing else they could do, I had to learn to live with it. Fuck being a junkie. I axed the pills and got a bag of weed and got as fit as possible. Finding a great accupuncturist was a real bonus. I kept going until 2008 when I stupidly asked a doctor for painkillers. He put me off work. That's when I was put on the pension. I asked these "experts" what pain management regime I SHOULD have taken and what pain killers would still work after 30 years? They couldn't look me in the eye but admitted I was right. Anyhow I think I might sign off, have a cuppa and do some " pain management" ROCK ON!!........Recko
