The Desk Tape Series is an initiative of ARCA and dedicated to the welfare and recognition of live production crew in Australia, and their contribution on the world stage.
Roadies have amassed a treasure trove of live recordings spanning more than 40 years and made ARCA their custodian. These tapes document the cultural significance of the Australian live music scene and serve as important historical records and to ensure they may never be lost.
Each release acknowledges just how important roadies have been to making our live performance industry an out-standing success. They offer recognition to the engineers who documented this wealth of genuine Australian music history. The tapes are then donated to the National Film and Sound Archives to serve as historical importance and to preserve the history of Aussie music.
All proceeds generated by the Desk Tape Series go directly to assist road crew in crisis. For more information, please visit the ARCA website www.australianroadcrew.com.au or download the media release. The Australian Road Crew Association Limited would like to thank our sponsors in the beginning, without whom this release would not be possible…
